Jamb cut-off marks set by various Nigerian universities for 2017/2018 Admissions

Jamb cut-off marks set by various Nigerian universities for 2017/2018 Admissions
The joint admissions and matriculation board (JAMB) was known to have set a cut-off mark of 120 marks in jamb exams for all government universities in the country for the 2017/2018 academic session admissions.

ASUU STRIKE 2017: ASUU TO MEET TODAY THURSDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER TO DISCUSS FATE OF CURRENT STRIKE

The National Executive Council of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, will meet on Thursday in Abuja to adopt a position on the concessions offered by the Nigerian government.
The negotiation team of ASUU had on Friday requested one week to submit the government’s offers to its members for consultation and report back to government.
PREMIUM TIMES had earlier reported how branches held congresses on Wednesday with varying decisions on the government offer.
A source in the union, who asked not to be named because he was not authorised to speak with journalists on the issue, informed PREMIUM TIMES that the national leadership of ASUU will meet on Thursday to decide whether the strike action be called off or continued.
“NEC will hold a decisive meeting today and will collate the outcome of all branch meetings held,” the source told PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday.
Officials of the union contacted declined to speak on record on the likely outcome of the meeting.
The president of the union, Biodun Ogunyemi, did not pick or return calls seeking comments.
It would be recalled that the federal government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, and his Education counterpart, Adamu Adamu, had presented the federal government’s new offer to the union on Thursday last week.
ASUU had then promised to get back with a decision within a week on whether the strike will be called off or not.
ASUU President, Biodun Ogunyemi, was quoted as saying last week: “Now we have something concrete to present to our members.”
The union declared a nationwide strike in August to protest against poor funding of varsities and issues relating to salaries.

Education: How I See It

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and directed research. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of educators, but learners may also educate themselves. (Retrieved from) Wikipedia (2017).
Education is that knowledge, skill, values e.t.c. that is acquired from an educator -usually a teacher or student (in classroom and school situations), parents and the society.
Education is a privilege, and so is being an educator. Accepting this fact (privilege of being a teacher) took me 3 years in the university.
At first it was not easy to cooperate with studying what eventually lands you into being what was far from your future plans, but i had no choice at the time i took my final decision to study it as time waits for no one. Today am happy about it all, it appears even more beautiful to me knowing that this Education i educate learners with, increases my self esteem and self confidence as a teacher and the love shared in the classroom environment is not shared anywhere else.
